Gender Equality, Inclusion and Protection

Persistent gender inequality, harmful cultural practices, gender-based violence, and discrimination continue to limit the rights and opportunities of women, girls, persons with disabilities, older persons, and other marginalized groups. These inequalities undermine education, health, economic empowerment, leadership, and participation in public life.

SODECA promotes gender justice and social inclusion by addressing harmful social norms, advancing women’s leadership, strengthening protection systems, and ensuring that marginalized groups can participate equally in development processes. The programme champions dignity, bodily autonomy, equal opportunities, and freedom from violence and discrimination.
